JVC Archival & Migration Solution

What is the JVC Archival & Migration Solution?
Almost all businesses today need to archive some of their data, whether to comply with external regulations or to support internal requirements.

The JVC Archival and Migration solution from Media Matters Technology ensures that your data is not only recorded correctly but will also stand the test of time. The solution uses a combination of Quality Media - JVC Archival Grade DVD-R, a new generation of superior media, dedicated archival drives and error checkers. This combination ensures Best Practise for Long-Term archiving.

The JVC Archival Grade DVD-R has passed ISO/IEC 10995. This is the only standard in the world that defines an accelerated aging test method for the durability and longevity of a DVD-R and is an extremely reliable and stringent test method.

Why use the archive solution?
There are many ways to store data but the problem lies in the quality of the storage medium and how long it will actually last. Unlike the regular backing up of data, archiving needs to ensure the data will not only be correct, but will be available for as long as it is needed.

The JVC archiving solution has a number of unique benefits to ensure unparalleled quality and longevity.

JVC Archival Grade DVD-R
The Archival Grade DVD-R employs a uniquely developed ‘Special alloy’ on the silver based reflective layer to maintain suitable reflectivity for long term storage capability. Organic dye is used to minimise decomposition by light or heat during storage.

Archival Drives
Specially engineered firmware has been used to optimise JVC archival grade media. This combination minimizes the occurrence of initial error rate and provides the best recording quality.

Disc Error Checkers
Specialist hardware disc error checkers measure the error rates of the discs after burning to ensure long-term data preservation.
